Project Description:
The Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino is on 84 acres just 15 minutes north of Santa Fe. The facility is 650,000 sq. ft .and includes 45,000 sq. ft. of gaming area with 1,200 slot machines, 22 gaming tables and a 10 table poker room. The casino resort also consists of a state of the art 40,000 sq. ft. kitchen and food service space, nightclubs, luxury spa, fitness facility, world class dinning, entertainment venues, putting greens, 18 hole golf course, a 66,000 sq. ft. meeting space, a wedding chapel, two pools, sand volleyball, three tennis courts and parking for 2,000. Yearout Mechanical, Inc. provided utilities, plumbing and HVAC for this facility. The casino and convention center is conditioned by using 78 gas fired packaged rooftop units. The 393 room hotel is conditioned by utilizing vertical room fan coil units with air-cooled chillers. The substantially planned infrastructure of the project includes construction of an environmentally state of the art wastewater treatment facility that will have 100% water recycling capability. In addition, the project will “harvest” and purify rainwater through the use of settlement basins.
